Last week the EBD team took a field trip to Denver Art Museum for the Star Wars: Power of Costume exhibit where we got a glimpse into the costume designers creative process bringing George Lucas’s vision to life. There were 70 original costumes that we got to examine closely. Seeing the conceptual sketches, fabrics used, and intricate detail was true inspiration for all of us.
We designed the Costume Studio for viewers to visit after being inspired by all the works of art in the Star Wars exhibit. This space is for people to dive into the creative process and design their own costumes. It is incredibly rewarding to see kids and adults using this space we thoughtfully designed.
