Ellen was honored with an AIGA Fellow designation at this year’s AIGA Colorado Gala.

The National Fellow Award program biannually recognizes designers who have made a significant contribution to raising the standards of excellence within their local design community as well as in their local AIGA chapter. The areas of education, writing, leadership and reputation, and the practice of design are given equal consideration in measuring significant contribution.

On June 26, 2015 at the at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, EBD, along with members of AIGA Colorado, raised our glasses to toast Ellen and her continued dedication to excellence in the Colorado design community. The event highlighted Ellen’s design history, starting in the early years by redesigning her own cursive handwriting, to her developing legacy with Ellen Bruss Design, Inc. creating classic work for Retail Branding & Packaging (Hammond’s Candies, Marczyk Fine Foods), Real Estate (Belmar, Balfour at Riverfront Park) and Cultural Organizations (MCA Denver, The Biennial of the Americas).

As a testament to Ellen’s leadership coming full circle, former EBDer, Charles Carpenter, designed the invite.

Examples of EBD’s success can be found in hundreds of publications, nationally and internationally, including Communication Arts, Graphis, Print Magazine, Creative Quarterly, HOW International and GD USA.
